What is Qi Gong?

Qi Gong is a soft & gentle Martial Art, made up of soft & slow traditional Chinese exercises. Its origin is from Traditional Chinese Medicine which has existed for over 5,000 years & is based on Yin & Yang. Qi Gong movements generate Qi/Chi which is vital energy or life force, & which strengthen the body & quietens the mind. Also called the “Fountain of Youth” this technique is a limitless source of peace, good health & vitality; it is an ideal way to keep in shape & protect us from the pressures & stresses of everyday life.

A Qi Gong class includes:

Grounding & Centering
Breathing Exercises
Slow warm up exercises
Qi Gong – soft, slow full body movements
